Roger has spent a lifetime working within the agriculture and countryside sector. Beginning life as a farmer, Roger has always been involved with the great outdoors. After a long and highly regarded role at Framlingham Farmers, where he personally traded in excess of £15m of grains and oilseed, he accepted a position managing the 1,300 acres of Shrubland Park for Lord de Saumarez. He oversaw and was actively involved in the farming on the estate, helping to diversify agricultural operations. Gravel extraction, parkland management and maintaining a large number of tenanted properties all fell within his job responsibilities.
All of these qualities have made him the ideal candidate to be a founder of Alpha Rural Services Ltd.
Jack began his working life as an IT technician for Ensors Chartered Accountants, but after a stint around the world followed by an amount of voluntary work for the Suffolk National Trust Volunteers, he decided to re-train in 2008. A keen rock climber, trees became the next natural thing to scale, and he found himself achieving a number of tree surgery related certifications. Over the next couple of years, he undertook various domestic projects and also provided services to BTS Group Ltd managing power line vegetation clearances.
Prior to forming Alpha Rural Services Ltd, Jack had been working with his father, undertaking all tree works on the estate, maintaining the parkland and dealing with tenanted property issues.
